This notice explains how we process personal data on this website and for our bookings, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data we process

When you book: name, email address, phone number, passenger details, addresses, dates, flight number, number of passengers and suitcases, child seats needed, company and invoice details (including your reference), notes and the history of the booking. When you pay: Stripe processes your card data; we receive the payment status, not your card number. When you visit the website: technical data such as IP address and browser, kept briefly in server logs.

Address search

For the address search we use the Google Maps Platform (Maps JavaScript API and Places API). As soon as you select an address field, your browser loads these services from Google, which receives your IP address and then what you type. Our server then asks Google for the route and the distance (Routes API, Places API and Geocoding API). This lets us record the pickup and destination correctly and calculate your price; the basis is the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in correct addresses. We use Google Analytics only with your consent (see Statistics).

Cookies and browser storage

This website uses no advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you allow statistics (see Statistics); your choice is kept for twelve months in a cookie (tando_consent). During a booking, your entries are kept in your browser (session storage) until you close the tab, so that you do not lose them when you come back from the payment page. Stripe's payment page sets its own cookies, which are needed for the payment and to prevent fraud.

Statistics (Google Analytics)

If you allow it in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 of Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC (USA) to count visits and see how the website is used: pages viewed, time, approximate location, device, browser, the website you came from and clicks on links to other websites, such as WhatsApp. For this, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_…) that expire at most 13 months after your last visit; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Advertising features and Google signals are switched off, and page addresses are sent without booking details. Google keeps the data for at most 14 months.

The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of our pages; the withdrawal applies from then on and does not affect processing before it. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not used.

Independently of this, our server counts each day how many pages are viewed, how many prices are requested, how many people use our pages (scroll, tap, click or type on them) and how many of them see a price, how many choose a vehicle and how many fill in the booking details. It uses no cookies for this. So that each person is counted only once a day, it forms a code from the IP address, the browser details and a random value that changes every day. The IP address is not stored, and the codes and the random value are deleted after the day ends, so that afterwards visits cannot be linked to a person or from one day to the next. Only the daily totals are kept.

Review request

After your journey, we send you one email asking for a review on Google; we send it only once to each email address. You can object to it at any time by replying to it or by writing to office@transferando.ch. The link in this email and the QR code on the cards in our cars lead to our Google page through transferando.ch/review; we only count how often this address is opened, nothing about you. If you write a review, Google publishes it with your Google name under its own terms and privacy policy.

Purposes

We use this data to calculate prices, carry out and invoice your journey, contact you about it, ask you once for a review afterwards, meet legal obligations such as accounting, protect the website against misuse, count how many people use the website each day and, with your consent, measure visits with Google Analytics, to improve the website.

Recipients

Our chauffeurs receive the details needed for your journey. If a partner transport company carries out a journey, for example during WEF week, it receives only these details. Service providers: Namecheap (website hosting and email; USA), Stripe (payments and invoices; Ireland and USA), Google (address search, routes and, with your consent, statistics; Ireland and USA). If you write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta; Ireland and USA) processes your messages under its own privacy policy.

Transfers abroad

Transfers to the USA rely on the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Federal Council has recognised for certified companies since 15 September 2024 (Stripe, Google, WhatsApp), or on standard contractual clauses recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) (Namecheap). Ireland is recognised as providing adequate protection.

Legal bases under the GDPR

Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)), to meet legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)), for our legitimate interest in running and protecting the website, in counting its visitors without cookies and in asking our clients once for a review (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, for Google Analytics, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You may also complain to a data protection authority in the EU.

Retention

Booking and invoice data are kept for ten years to meet Swiss accounting obligations. Other data are deleted when no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask for information about your data, for its correction or deletion, or for a copy in a common electronic format, and you can object to its processing, by writing to office@transferando.ch. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). We make no automated individual decisions.
